Mr Phil Davies

Rank: Lieutenant

Phil has been in the 18th South Shields Company since 1988, becoming a lieutenant in 2005. After leaving the Company in 2009 due to other commitments, he returned in 2012 to help run the Company due to the illness of Captain George Armstrong. In 2015 he completed his Officer In Charge Course, the first step to reaching the rank of Captain. Phil Plays Bass Drum in Our Bugle Band

Mr Stuart Mchaffie

Rank: Lieutenant

Stuart joined the 18th South Shields Company in the late 1970s when we were stationed at St Andrews Church and has been with us ever since. Upon becoming a lieutenant, Stuart became officer in charge of the Company Section as well as bandmaster but has since become involved in all aspects of the Company. Stuart is a "Queensman" after being presented at Buckingham Palace with highest award possible in the Boys Brigade. He has also achieved the Gold Award in the Duke Of Edinburgh Award Scheme with the 18th. As bandmaster Stu is usually seen at with the mace at the front of parades. An excellent drummer as well, Stu is now unfortunately unable to carry a drum on parade for health reasons.

Mr Kevin Maughan

Rank: Lieutenant

Another "Queens Badge" recipient, and also holding The Duke Of Edinburghs Gold Award, Kevin has been involved with the 18th South Shields Company for nearly 40 years. Kevin is always enthusiastic, and as a keen sportsman is normally involved in supervising games and sporting activities. As a first class bugler, Kevin is in charge of the wind section of our bugle band.

Ms Georgia Maughan

Leader

Georgia helps fellow leaders in the Company. An ever present, she helps organise games and activities as well as running the Tuck Shop

Mr Dave Tully

Rank: Warrant Officer

Dave joined our staff in 2009, and has proved his worth at various camps and during other activities. Other commitments prevent him attending most Wednesday nights, but he is always willing to help the Company when he can.

Mr Callum Mchaffie

Rank: Warrant Officer

Callum joined the 18th Company as a Junior. He went on to achieve the Presidents Badge, the second highest honour in the Boys Brigade. He has also achieved his Gold Award in the Duke Of Edinburghs Award Scheme. An excellent musician, Callum is solo drummer for the Company.

Mr Craig Whittaker

Rank: Warrant Officer

Craig has recently joined our Company in 2016. He is well liked by all our members and is also very keen to get involved in all our physical activities.
