What Are The Anchor Boys?

Anchor Boys is the youngest section in the Boys Brigade and is for boys aged 6 to 8 years old.

Our Anchor section meets on Wednesday evenings between 5.00pm and 6.30pm in Talbot Road Methodist Church Hall (Richmond Road entrance)

What We Do

The Anchor Boys has lots of fun doing different activities which include

Making things

Crafts

Games

Sports

Going on visits

Making friends

Working towards badges

Halloween party

Christmas party

Outings

The Uniform

Children in the Anchor Section wear a core uniform of a blue polo shirt and red sweatshirt. On some occasions, such as parades, members will wear school trousers and footwear as part of the uniform. Safe And Caring

All our adult volunteers undertake a disclosure (criminal records) check as part of their registration with The Boys’ Brigade, and are trained to provide a safe and caring environment for all children. First Aid provision is also always available.

What It Costs

For Anchor Boys, we charge a subscription which is collected weekly and is £1 per week. This said, we don’t want any child to miss out because of cost, so if you have any concerns about finance please speak to a leader in confidence about this.
